This Viking pendant necklace features a fire breathing Norse Fafnir dragon.
The pendant alone measures about 1 7/8" tall and 3/4" wide and weighs 0.69 ounces. All pendant necklaces come with a 23 1/2" stainless steel chain.
Fafnir was an infamous Norse Dragon written about in Fáfnismál, a poem in the Poetic Edda. Fafnir was the son of the Dwarf King Hreidmar who was cursed by another dwarf named Andvari who turned Fafnir into a dragon. Fafnir's invincibility was attributed to his use of the Helm of Awe which paralyzed his prey before striking but was ultimately slayed by Sigurd.
