Mjölnir (pronounced Miol-neer) is the name of Thor's (a Norse God) hammer. The hammer gave Thor extensive power and never missed it's mark. Mjölnir was forged by the dwarf, Sindri, in Svartalfheim.

Thor's hammer served as a weapon of war but was also used as an instrument of blessing in births, weddings, and funerals, too. The symbol can be found on many grave stones up to 1300 AD.

Fafnir was an infamous Norse Dragon written about in Fáfnismál, a poem in the Poetic Edda. Fafnir was the son of the Dwarf King Hreidmar who was cursed by another dwarf named Andvari who turned Fafnir into a dragon. Fafnir's invincibility was attributed to his use of the Helm of Awe which paralyzed his prey before striking but was ultimately slayed by Sigurd.

The Helm of Awe
I wore before the sons of men
In defense of my treasure;
Amongst all, I alone was strong,
I thought to myself,
For I found no power a match for my own.

Nidhogg, Níðhöggr in Old Norse which means Curse Striker, was the dragon who dwelt beneath and gnawed the roots of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Nidhogg ruled the underworld Nastrond, The Shore of of Corpses, where those who wre found guilty of murder, rape, and oath breaking were sent upon their death.
