Mjolnir, Thor's Hammer, hanging boldly from a twisted semi circle bail with an Isaz Rune bead on both sides. The entire necklace is made of 316L stainless steel. The Byzantine chain is 7 mm wide with a total length of about 29". The chain is hand constructed by interlinking 7mm jump rings in an intricate pattern.

Mjolnir (pronounced Miol-neer) is the name of Thor's (a Norse God) hammer. The hammer gave Thor extensive power and never missed it's mark. Mjolnir was forged by the dwarf, Sindri, in Svartalfheim.

Thor's hammer served as a weapon of war but was also used as an instrument of blessing in births, weddings, and funerals, too. The symbol can be found on many grave stones up to 1300 AD.
