An ornate Broa style dragon design in a gold bronze tone.

Brooches were worn by both men and women in the Viking age and were most commonly made of bronze.

Material: zinc alloy - lighter and comfortable for hair or clothing wear. Not 316L stainless; chosen for weight and detail in hair accessories and brooches.

Shipping was SO FAST, I couldn't believe it. I actually got to wear the brooches at an event because they arrived as I was packing. The design is gorgeous. They are meant to be replicas of the brooches medieval Scandinavian women wore, and it is well-documented that they hung chains and beads between. But these have weak pinbacks that are not up to holding even a small array of beads or chains. I wore mine for one day and by the end of the day the pin stems were bent. They are too skinny for what these are supposed to be used for. I know it would make the price go up to put handmade findings on them, rather than manufactured pin backs, but it would make this a much better product. As it is, I will be taking these apart and creating more robust pin backs to accomodate my jewelry.
