A Bear inside a bear paw print on a round medallion. The backside features an outline of a fierce bear face.

Berserkers ( berserkir in Old Norse ) translate to 'bear shirt'. Berserkers were warrior shamans during the Viking Age who went into battle armor-less and were as crazed dogs or wolves and as strong as bears or bulls. The bit their shields and slew men, while they themselves were harmed by neither fire nor iron. This is called "going berserk".
